mental health
Mental health and persistence is something that everyone struggles with at times.
Studies, family, work, accidents, illnesses, or deaths among relatives and many
other factors can often feel overwhelming. Not everything works perfect in life and everyone makes mistakes. It is still important to remember that you never have to experience these feelings alone.
Although we are aware that it is not our place to force help on someone, we want to offer opportunities in improving the well-being of our members. We will actively arrange events where we give everyone a chance to take a break from everyday life.

We strive to organize well-being weeks during the year, where the focus is to promote the members' well-being. During the week, we aim to organize events that are informative, help coping with stress, increase commonality, and improve the atmosphere among our members. If you as a member have suggestions on how we could improve the events, you are welcome to contact the head of Social social politics or someone else from the board. If you prefer to be anonymous, you can always write your suggestions in the surveys that are regularly sent out. The association actively collects data to be able to provide members with good activities and pleasant events.
In addition, most of the board and tutors will take a course in first aid for mental health (Mielenterveyden ensiapukurssi). This course provides skills to react correctly in various stressful situations.
We want to emphasize that it is never mandatory to consume alcohol during our events. It is important to note that our activities are based on all participants having fun and feeling welcome. There is always an alcohol-free alternative, and no one should be pressured to consume alcohol to have fun.
COME AND chill to THE koppi!
A coffee hour in our Asa office (Koppi) is arranged Monday through Thursday between 11: 30-12:15. We welcome each member to join us, relax and drink a cup of coffee. In addition, the board members usually hangout around the Koppi, you are always welcome to come and chill with us.
We take the matter of mental health very seriously and we hope we can refer you to the right channel for help if needed. Below you will find contact information for professional help.

At Åbo Akademi University we have an extensive amount of opportunities for exchange studies. By doing an exchange year or semester you get an opportunity to improve your language skills, create new contacts, and also gain life-long experiences and memories. Exchange studies also provide skills that the labor market recognizes as an advantage, both nationally and internationally.
Going on exchange is simply something you will not regret!

list of interests
The list of interests is a way for each member to contribute to Merkantila Klubben rf's activities, whether they are in a committee or not. The intention of the list of interests is that the committees can offer the members tasks according to their own needs. With the help of the list, members can choose the extent to which they wish to contribute. You will be contacted by e-mail about the tasks in which you have expressed interest.

Minea Salminen
HEAD OF EDUCATIONAL ADVOCACY
As the Head of Educational Advocacy, I am responsible for MK's master's activities and look after the interests of both Merkantila Klubben and the members in current higher education policy matters. This means that I keep in touch with all student representatives who sit in various agencies within the faculty and Åbo Akademi University. I also sit in a agency myself and participate in meetings. In addition, I keep track of our education and its development, in concrete terms, this means that I am in close cooperation with line managers and act as a link between students and staff.

Is there something about the education that feels wrong? For example, do you want to raise a problem with the course content, but don't know who to contact? You can write your feedback to the Höpo platform, so that it reaches the teachers and course coordinators anonymously and reliably.

You can write freely about anything related to business education, both suggestions for improvement and positive feedback, for example if a course has been really good! All responses received will be treated confidentially by the higher education policy officers of the subject association.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask the Head of Educational Advocacy or any other member of the Board!
